I had a truly unforgettable experience at our school, when we celebrated Raksha
Bandhan. As someone from Thailand, I was completely new to this Indian festival.

Raksha Bandhan is a special day where sisters tie a rakhi, a sacred thread, on their
brother's wrists. It's a symbol of love, protection, and a promise of a lifelong bond.

I tied a rakhi to Labsong. It was shaped like a watch, which I thought was both stylish
and meaningful. Our teacher, Naveen Sir, and our matron, Jyoti ma'am, created a
wonderful atmosphere for the celebration. Jyoti didi, our other matron, explained the
beautiful story behind Raksha Bandhan, helping us understand its significance.
All the students at our residential school participated in the festivities. We tied rakhis
and tikkas to each other, exchanged gifts, and enjoyed delicious sweets.

It was a heartwarming sight to see everyone come together to celebrate this tradition.
Raksha Bandhan taught me a lot about Indian culture and the importance of family
bonds. I'll always cherish the memories of that day and the friendships I formed.
