My life suddenly changed when my parents decided to put me in a boarding school. I have always been a day scholar. But my parents thought I had become addicted to mobile phones and gadgets; besides I was not able to manage and discipline my life.

So, after researching well about the Best Boarding Schools in India, my parents chose Dehradun Hills Academy.

On the first day I was mesmerized by the place itself, staying in Noida I had completely forgotten how it feels to breathe in the fresh air. Since hills and trees surround our campus, I just fell in love with it!! It's the chirping birds who wake me up and the twinkling stars that take me to dreams something which the cities have now lost.

But the journey had just begun, and I was nervous. I have been my mamma's boy and here I had to learn to do everything by myself. The school has a fixed time for everything, the daily routine is structured yet dynamic, filled with classes, study sessions, extracurricular activities, and downtime. I just found it difficult to do everything on time from waking up at 5 AM to having breakfast on time and making our bed before school starts. I was missing my mom and that's when I realized what my parents meant by discipline and being independent. There was never a dull moment as I navigated between academics, sports, arts, and social events, all within the confines of the school campus.

Nevertheless, I was happy when I made so many friends and I love the way all the students genuinely help each other. I am in Grade 5 and to my surprise the seniors are supportive and caring. I can't wait to go home and let my parents see how much I have changed and can live, learn, love, and enjoy life without phones hahaha!!!
