JEANNE'S NEW TARGET: SHOOTING FOR THE STARS!

The great facilities provided by the Dehradun hills academy has motivated Jeanne to take her leap in Shooting. With the increasing complexities of the classes, she increased her skills, and shooting is now indeed her cup of tea!! Here she shares her hands on experience in shooting from her first day at class, which made her a shooting star of the institute.

Our school has great facilities when it comes to Sports and Activities. Not many schools provide Shooting or Horse Riding, so when I first heard of Shooting Classes I got very excited but my friends said, “It is not meant for girls! Shooting isn't your cup of tea, Jeanne. But I was keen to give it a try.

 Entering the shooting class for the first time, I felt a blend of excitement and nervousness. The instructor greeted me warmly, quickly putting me at ease with their expertise and reassuring demeanor. Starting with the basics, I learned about safety protocols, proper handling techniques, and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Each lesson built upon the last, gradually increasing complexity as my skills improved. With each shot fired, I honed my focus and concentration, learning to control my breathing and steady my aim. It was a process of improvement, with each session bringing new challenges and triumphs. As the weeks pass, I gain more confidence in my abilities, hitting targets precisely and consistently. Beyond just the technical aspects, I also developed a deep respect for the responsibility that is needed in handling firearms. Because of these shooting sessions, I am gaining valuable knowledge and skills and a newfound appreciation for the sport of shooting and the discipline it requires. Besides, I am becoming more focused and attentive. 

Finally, I am sure it is my cup of tea and I enjoy every bit of it!!!
